What are laminates?

High Pressure Laminates (HPL) are composed of 6-8 layers of resin impregnated kraft paper, a decorative paper and a clear melamine overlay. These sheets are bonded at high pressures and temperatures thus resulting in a very durable product. High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is considered one of the most durable decorative surface materials and it performs well in both horizontal and vertical applications for interior cabinetry.
